Questions and answers

What is MCP?

MCP, the Model Context Protocol, lets compatible AI tools connect to external sources of information. MemberData.eu uses it to make your own synchronised LinkedIn data available to the tool you choose.

Who can use MemberData.eu?

LinkedIn members in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland. MemberData.eu uses LinkedIn’s Member Data Portability API (3rd Party), which LinkedIn provides in response to the EU Digital Markets Act (DMA). With your consent, it lets third-party applications fetch your LinkedIn data. LinkedIn only offers it to members in the EEA and Switzerland, based on the location in their LinkedIn profile.

Will it cost anything?

Yes. MemberData.eu will be a paid service, because synchronising and storing your LinkedIn data can mean several hundred megabytes per user. Pricing will be announced at launch.

Which AI tools can I use?

Desktop apps, command-line agents and web-based assistants that support custom MCP connections. Compatibility and setup instructions will be provided at launch.

Is this a LinkedIn product?

No. MemberData.eu is an independent service provided by Activout AB and is not affiliated with or endorsed by LinkedIn.

Does my data stay in the EU?

MemberData.eu stores your synchronised LinkedIn data in the EU. When you use a connected AI service, data shared with that service is handled under its own terms and privacy policy.
